Padre Pio's Corpse Exhumed, Displayed in Glass Coffin after 40 Years in the Grave. Really.

Fri, 25 Apr 2008 19:48:20 PDT
Its not everyday that one gets news of an exhumed corpse being exhibited to hordes of tourists in a glass coffin; today, just such news came my way. Yesterday, the corpse of Padre Pio was put on display in an elaborate glass-and-marble coffin after his body was removed from the vault in which had resided for 40 (!!!) years. His body was too far decayed, it is reported, to be exhibited without enhancement (though it was considered "intact"); his face is covered with silicon mask prepared by a

But there he is, in video after video, not really prospering in the middle of the SoHo real estate boom, losing money in an psychedelic lighting supply business for musical eve

Public: Don't Mess With My Flight Plans

"Pretty soon we'll have to fly naked!" The mass media rapidly embraced the UK terror storyline fed to them. The BBC, CNN, CBC Newsworld and other all-news broadcasters covered scarcely anything but the narrowly averted catastrophe throughout the day. Funny thing, but the general public wasn't buying it. The reaction was surprisingly cynical...

Remind me never to get on his bad side

Fri, 25 Apr 2008 17:48:28 PDT
Rick Moran has one of the most devastating takedowns of a typical Barack Obama apologist I’ve seen yet. We’ve all come across them - whether they be in the blogosphere or on the pages of the NYT, or just standing there by the water cooler. Many of them infuriating types because they express the same sentiment that BO does: that any issue that paints him in a negative light is simply a “distraction” from the “real issues” facing Americans (judgment and character are not “real issues,” you see).

But that appears to be just what is happening. A new study shows that there are large parts of our country where the average life span is getting s
